We are offering you a myriad of creative and inspiring options for real involvement in Woodford this year. Over the next few years, we plan to nurture projects that reflect and inspire the every person to get involved in community theatre projects as part of Festival or as an extension of the Festival.

Devils
The Devils are an irreverent group of provocative characters who fill the festival with the spirit of mockery and decadence. These half-masked characters tempt the festival goers into acts of wild indiscretion and play.
Wild Women
A culture of Women representing the spirit of the New Year and accompany the festival Queen in her succulent exploits. These women represent joy, inner peace and sensuality, and all our hopes for the New Year.
The Woodford Emu Brigade
This Brigade is growing to become an integral part of the Woodford culture. Entrusted with the vital roles of maintaining order, collecting information and international security this new Brigade will be seen regularly throughout Woodford checking the streets, toilet blocks and handbags. Under the supreme command of Brigadier Robin Laidlaw (Emu rider extraordinaire), you can become a member of this elite troop of splendidly uniformed soldiers mounted on emus.
The Royal Woodford Majorettes
The Royal Woodford Majorettes is a baton twirling, rhythm whirling, marching band of wonderful women. They sing it, say it, blow it, beat it – loud and outrageous under the direction of Chief Majorette Jade Le Roc. Performing out on the streets of Woodford – this is one wild and whacky women’s force not to be reckoned with. Fabulous costumes, hilarious chants, discreet messages – loads of lavish and lush Fun.
