The Carnival of Misrule Don your mask and visit a world within a world where chaos, creativity, majesty, beauty, renewal and release all play their part in the larger masquerade of life. Processions, amusements, spectacle and magic are designed to explore yourself in the play of another, to surrender the individual to the group mind, to release inhibitions and to challenge the norm.
Rhythm Fest Some of the most original and exciting musicians across a full spectrum of musics come together to form the 4-hour organic epic that is the Woodford Rhythm festival. Melody, groove and multimedia extravaganza explode in the only New Year’s event you’ll want to dance to.
Radiance An event within itself: six days with national and international experts sharing their knowledge and experience through talks, forums and workshops exploring issues of alternative health, freedom and happiness.
The Palace The full regalia of circus, vaudeville, cabaret, burlesque and traveling show: human absurdities, curiosities and physicalities; ballyhoo; diverse amusements; circus and sideshow for your delectation…
Street life Mermaids, medieval knights, jugglers, jesters, stilt walkers, slapstick, fools, fire-breathers, acrobats and ex-sideshow artists have slithered, rowed, winged and wheeled their way to Woodford. Stoic, static, romantic and erratic, Street Rovers celebrate the element of surprise in the streets. All the while, our new outdoor street performance pitches feature outdoor entertainment never before seen at the festival.
Folklines Experience the mystery and grace of the ancient and evolving performing arts. Featuring a vibrant cultural music, dance, poetry and theatre traditions at the root of contemporary Australian society, in celebration of the many cultures we create and share.
Murri Programme Many cultural forms of expression, from: Intimate talks with Murri Elders; spectacular corroborees; large stage musical performance; hands-on workshops in craft traditions; gallery tours; cutting edge forums and discussions; all highlighting the depth and variety of Australian Indigenous culture.
Onscreen From early silent films to the latest of international animation, short film, and multimedia projections, grab the popcorn, get cozy and let ‘HollyWoodford’ screen the broadest palette of moving images.
Wordplay Poets, preachers, larrikins, lairs and liars grace the stage in the finest exhibition of logodaedaly and verbalistic legerdemain. Poet’s breakfasts, Yarns, tales … and three hours of stand up comedy each night, with no repeats!
Create Experiment, provoke imagine, surprise, aspire and explore your creative side in paper, fibre, glass, clay, wax, mosaic, costume, paint, muds, ochre and spices at the visual arts festival.

Children’s Festival Our Children’s festival offers six days of non-stop theatre, music, hands-on workshops. Puppetry, concerts, folk clubs and circus thrills. Enter the wonder, magic, fantasy and laughter in the hearts and minds of our young folk.
